Day Skipper Theory Course

(known as Day Skipper shorebased Course)

Duration:
The course is usually taken over 5 consecutive days (e.g. Monday to Friday), but is also available over 3 weekends or as evening classes

Participants:
The course is equally applicable for sail or power boaters and suits those keen to spend a good amount of time developing their theoretical knowledge away from the water. It also acts as an excellent follow on to power boat level 2 or ahead of the Advanced Powerboat Course.

This is an excellent course to take as it goes into far more detail about aspects of safety, boat types, weather, navigation, charts, Collision Regulations, etc, than can be achieved over the duration of a short practical course. Entirely classroom based, this course lasts 5 days or three weekends depending on the course you want to attend.

This is an ideal course for a RYA Powerboat Level 2 or Motor Cruising Helmsman 'graduates' to take to build on their knowledge or as a prerequisite for the Advanced Powerboat Course. Equally if you intend taking Day Skipper Practical Course then taking this course will allow more of your practical course to be dedicated to the practical aspects of the course

Course fee: £350 per person (group discounts available) / £800 with 1:1 tuition

Prices include VAT, Course Handbook, Certificate (on successful completion)
