Maybe you want to spend the day catching mackerel with the family, or fly-fishing for bass, anchored up or drifting over the wrecks It matters not...you can choose. Unfortunately owning your own boat is an expensive and time consuming business. Do you pay marina fees or go for a trailer boat? Either way it costs money. What about the maintenance and cleaning? Antifouling every year, engine servicing, polishing and scrubbing........the list goes on and nothing is cheap. Whilst boat ownership can be great fun, unless you have you have the time and finances to make it work it soon becomes a grind. So why not hire? 'Bare-boat' chartering is common in the yachting world but until recently options for the angler were non-existent. That's why we have set up Harwell Charters. Now you can enjoy using a top-quality boat for the day, bring her back and walk away! Even if you charter the boat every weekend, it will be cheaper than buying your own! To offer this service we looked for a high-quality boat that was safe, designed for anglers and was easy to operate. We settled on the Arvor 230AS which can accommodate up to 6 anglers. Powered by a 150hp VW diesel engine she has a large deck space, 'walk-around' access to the anchor, a comfortable 'stand-up' wheelhouse/cabin, fresh water and a sea-toilet. With a full electronics package and high-quality safety equipment, all you need to bring is your tackle and yourself. We can even supply the tackle and bait if required! Electronics include:
We operate from Sovereign Harbour Marina in Eastbourne, East Sussex. Easily accessible, the marina offers free parking and a wealth of shops, restaurants and bars to enjoy when you've finished for the day.
